Jess Sylvia
Pilates & Yoga Teacher, Personal Trainer, Wellness Junkie
A childhood of theater & ballet combined with over two decades of snowboarding explains Jess’s passion for creative movement. She fell in love with Pilates unexpectedly while living in Los Angeles in 2014. Moments into her first class, she felt an instant connection. By adding reformer classes to her regimen of yoga and spin, it became clear that Pilates should play a part in everyone’s life.
With a desire to learn the ways of the elders, she sought out the closest source: the teacher training program at Power Pilates in New York City. Her certification experience was so inspiring, she wanted to share that excitement with others. After 10 years on the road as a Corporate Emcee and Product Specialist, Jess moved to the Big Apple full-time in 2019. She traded her high heels for bare feet to devote full attention to her Pilates practice. In 2020, Jess developed the concept for the code. She has since completed certifications to teach yoga, strength training, and meditation to bring the ultimate experience to all of her students.
Her combination of a classical foundation, musicality, and precision, brings you an invigorating, dynamic class that’s sure to leave you energized and empowered. Jess believes that the strength, discipline, and challenges you experience in class help to prepare your body and mind for your adventures outside the studio.
Teaching Style: Enthusiastic, precise, challenging yet accessible.
Fun Facts: She’s a sucker for french fries, red wine, and lip balm.
